My love for hot chocolate this winter

It is a cold, cloudy, raining day today. I’m so thankful and grateful for GOD giving us some rain which we have been needing for a month and a half already. We are towards the end of january and finally got blessed with rain yesterday, today and going into the work week. My work is here in my home taking care of Kailey and waiting for baby boy Lieadson to arrive. Kailey and headed to Starbucks this morning around 9:30am and I had a hot chocolate grande size with an apple bran muffin and for Kailey an apple juice with blueberry muffin. However, she only took 2 bites of her muffin. Gulped down her apple juice though. I have a preschooler with an appetite of a toddler. ha! Can’t wait for Kailey to start eating more healthy foods and less processed foods. Oh, the joys of parenting!!!! Since I can’t have coffee and I’m a little anemic. I’m staying away from coffee completely until after the baby comes and I’m not anemic anymore. I usually get that during pregnancy. So, I must have my hot chocolate and teas. For now. Oh, and lets not forget the smoothies at Starbucks that are delishes as well! I tried the orange mango smoothie the other day at Starbucks and it was sooo yummy! Flavio is out hunting with his brother, uncle tony and brother-in-law. Kailey and I are here st home relaxing watching Netflix and I’m finishing up on this post as I listen to the rain and finish my hot chocolate. That’s it for now. Have a great weekend and stay dry.

not be looking forward to having another c-section and having to stay in the hospital for 3-4 days……..

Baby Boy!

It looks like we have settled on a name for our baby boy. His name will be:

Lieadson Ourique Vaz Da Silva

His name is a brazilian/portuguese name picked out by daddy since I picked out the name for our Kailey Birlynn. You say his name like this Lee. et. son. We might call him Lee for short or Leo. So, there it is our baby boy Lieadson. It sounds beautiful when said correctly. Have a wonderful day!

Bring on the blues

We are so excited and thrilled to announce we are having a baby BOY!!!!!! We shared this exciting news with family and friends throughout the holidays. Kailey has turned me into a girly- girl and I do love pink and purple. However, I would not mind holding a sweet baby boy in blue. We have our girl and now our son on the way due May 17th!!!! Happy Monday!

4th year with santa pics

We headed to the mall to see santa this year and Kailey was hesitant at first and didn’t want to go see santa. Then santa came over to talk with Kailey and gave her some candy canes and she went right up there with santa to take a picture with him. This year she just stood right next to santa instead of sitting on his lap. Which worked out just fine. Kailey felt uncomfortable, but not uncomfortable enough to start crying, kicking, screaming or embrace her parents in the mall in front of everyone. She did great! Here is Kailey’s 4th year of pictures with santa clause. Merry Christmas to everyone! Next week we will be very busy and I might not have time to blog. I will keep you posted.

Sharing about baby number 2

Now that it’s official that Flavio & I are expecting our 2nd child who is due May 17th of next year, I would like to talk about the differences from my 1st pregnancy with Kailey. Everything is different!

1. With Kailey I was very sick the first 3 months of my pregnancy everything smelled bad: someone cooking in the kitchen, food, perfume, bathroom spray, anything that I could smell a mile away. With baby number 2, no symptoms at all just missed my period.

2. With Kailey I had a clear complection with no pimples. Baby number 2 is making me have a zit farm on my chin. And sometimes i get pimples on my back too. Gross! I’m fighting back against these pimples! Rahhhhhhhhhhhh! lol

3. With Kailey I would eat more fast food or anything that was quick to make. Baby # 2 I love to eat salad and anything healthy fruit, veggies ect. Nice!

4. With Kailey I had no caffeine and no sodas. Baby # 2 I drink a spirit every now and then to control heart burn. With Kailey didn’t crave coffee with this baby I do once in a while, but not all the time.

5. No morning sickness with both pregnancies, Thank You GOD!

6. With Kailey she didn’t kick too much. Baby number 2 is kicken up a storm.

I have lots more energy now though than I did in the first 3 months of my pregnancy. I’m now 4 months pregnant and we will find out the sex of our baby next week at my next appointment. Super excited!

Baby Evelett

My sister-in-law Denise and best friend from high school had a beautiful little girl Evelett Natalie Gonzales on Oct. 19th 2011 at 10.59 a.m. weighing 9 lbs 2oz and 21 1/2 inches in length. She was born via c-section. Both parents are blessed to have sweet Evelett in their lives. Congrats to the parents! Here is a picture at Thanksgiving day with the in-laws.

It has been forever since my last blog post back in september. I would have to say life has been pretty busy, crazy and hectic for the Da Silva family. In september it was confirmed that Flavio and I are expecting our second child! Yay!!!! We are thrilled and so excited to meet the newest addition to our family. We are hoping for a boy this time, but if God were to bless us with another little girl who would be ok too. The only thing that matters is that our child is healthy and well-developed. We are doing great and Kailey is getting taller, more talented and doing her usual Kailey thing…. Here are some pictures of back in october’s pumpkin patch trip and Halloween. Thats for starters here as I try to catch up to December! Whew! God Bless for now.
